Must Visit
  • Wherever you go in the Maltese Islands, the stunning scenery provides a spectacular backdrop. The predominant colours that strikes any visitor to Malta are the honey hued sandstone of the architecture set off against the blue azure of the Mediterranean.

  • The Maltese Islands have been described as one big open-air museum. You can explore over 7000 years of history in Malta where you can even see where the Knights of St John defended Christendom or admire the painting of the beheading of St John the Baptist. But Malta does not only live in the past. You can also visit some of the most popular film locations in the world where Oscar winning productions have been shot to great effect (Troy, Gladiator, The Count of Monte Cristo, Swept Away). Or you can go off the beaten track and visit picturesque villages such as Marsaxxlokk fish market where you can pick up the freshest of seafood every Sunday.

  • Mdina Glass Factory, a fascinating kaleidoscope of colour and light, is where you’ll find a large variety of homeware and decorative items made from mouth-blown glass and they make excellent souvenirs of your trip. Visit the Ta’Qali factory where you can see the masters of this craft performing their artistry in glass.

  • The Mnajdra and Hagar Qim Temples are located in a unique setting on the south-eastern coast of the island, near the village of Qrendi. The views of the Mediterranean Sea and the island of Filfla are breathtaking.

  • Visit St John’s Co-Cathedral, one of the most opulent churches in the world and the prime legacy of the Knights of Malta.

  • Take a day cruise to neighbouring islands of Gozo (a weekend party haven for the locals) & Comino – a paradise for snorkellers, divers, windsurfers and trekkers.

  • Take time to chill in the delightful ‘Vinotheque’ – a cheese and wine bar - based at the Corinthia San Gorg & Marina hotels where you can sample cheeses from around the world including local Maltese specialities with accompanying wines.

  • Book a wine tour at the 17th century wine cellars at Marsovin Winery where you can sample the goods as you go along!
